Problems involving life and death should obviously be handled in the emergency room. When in doubt about the seriousness of your child's illness or injury, please take your child to the closest hospital. Some insurance plans require you to contact either their company or our office before going to the emergency room. It is helpful to be aware if this applies to your plan before an emergency arises. Many problems encountered after office hours can be handled over the telephone. We are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week to help you resolve some of these issues. When possible, call our office and leave a message with our answering service. Be as specific as possible about your concerns and ask them to contact us immediately. We may be able to help you avoid a long wait in the emergency room.
